After a Spring storm in 2014 damaged the falls only a part of the falls is operating. Because it was a WPA project built in the 1930's the government is involved it it's repair. This was a 10 second exposure which gives the water it's wispy look
Under the railroad bridge at Split Rock Park in Garretson South Dakota. While photographing this a train suddenly came over and really startled me. The texture of the metal and the graffiti on the concrete pillars add to the scene.
After a damaging rainstorm in May of 2014 the "Falls at Split Rock Park were damaged and for now no longer flow over the rocks. This is an area on the left of the falls rarely seen. Here a long exposure gives the water that wispy milky look. The Falls will be repaired soon.
